The combination reinforcing bar connector comprises a rectangular hollow box construction (1) which is closed at one end and which in the region of this end has a flange (2) on the broad sides with a height of about 2 cm and diameter of about 3 cm. At the open end the hollow box is closed off by a plug (3). A rubber seal (4) of 2 cm thick is fastened on the inside of the permanently closed end and extending over the whole cross section. Hollow tubes (5) are fitted on or in the flanges.
