The automatic stepless belt drive for muscle powered vehicles has a belt pulley (a) mounted on the bottom bracket bearing and fully automatically torque-dependent adjustable in its effective diameter. On the rear wheel hub is mounted a fixed pulley (b) or a pulley which is fully automatically torque-dependent adjustable in its effective diameter. A fully automatic belt tensioner (c) is fitted between the front and rear pulleys. The drive belt (d) consists of a commercially available material and is used as a drive between the two points via the automatic tensioner.
