The keyboard is divided into zones (1) which are separated by curved barriers (2) which may stand up higher than the tops of the keys (3). The keys may be circular, oval or square in plan view. The keys in each zone are struck by the same finger. The barriers provide a guide for correct usage of the keyboard.
