The muscle-powered two-wheeler comprises a frame, a steerable front wheel and driven rear wheel which is coupled to a foot-operated drive mechanism. The drive mechanism (16) has at least one rocker (17) pivot-mounted on the frame (11) in a bearing (19). The rear end (17a) of the rocker is connected to a crank drive (20) engaging with the rear wheel, and the front end (17b) of the rocker is equipped with a drive pedal (22). The crank drive is connected to the rear wheel through the intermediate gearing of an overrunning clutch.
