Card reader in-feed structure with pivot arm which grips card from behind and release structure operated by user pulling card in power failure

Card can be removed from reader e.g. in power failure, by displacing pivot arm (4) against effect of reset spring (13) opposite card in-feed direction. Displacement path has force feed guide (14) with deflecting pin (15) operating with sloped surface (16) on arm (11), to move pivot arm out of rear gripping position. By pulling locked card, pivot arm is pushed backwards and force feed guide causes it to swing out of card path. Reset spring is used to set force needed to release card.
