The convex fastener, to secure one- and two-piece colostomy bags, has an adhesive layer at the side towards the body for temporary attachment to the skin of the colon outflow. The fastener lies within a generally flat and circular flange (2) of a convex center section (1). Each theoretical interface surface, at right angles to the center axis of the fastener, describes an ellipse with elliptical markings (4). The center opening (3) to hold the colon is also elliptical.
