The soft-top cloth for especially a convertible has adjoining sections connected by a lap seam. The first section (11) has a double bend (15), the double bent section (16) of which is glued to the connecting section (17) of its soft-top cloth section. For seam sealing the double bend free connecting section (12') of the second soft-top cloth section (12) is glued to the double bent section. The double bent section is glued to the connecting section of its soft-top cloth section by means of a hot sealable welded film (20).
