The staged hydraulic brake has a main body (10) of irregular shape and two round passages of differing diameter each connected to a three-way piece (40) via a channel. Inside the three-way piece is an inlet pipe, a smaller outlet pipe and a larger outlet pipe, and with a compression spring (50) in each of the two outlet pipes. The compression spring in the larger outlet pipe is provided with a ball (60) by which the flow direction of the hydraulic oil can be controlled. A bypass is provided between the larger outlet pipe and inlet pipe and has a ball through which the flow direction of the hydraulic oil can be controlled, whereby braking can be applied in staged fashion.
