The locking device (10) for a running wheel on the chassis of a pushchair has locking discs (11,12) with profiling on the rims of the wheels for the engagement of spring-loaded locking elements (15,16) which can be brought into a released position by means of an unlocking system (17-20). The locking discs have profiling around the circumference, while the locking elements are in the form of pins which stand axially parallel to the wheel axle and are movable at right angles to it.
