A lightweight ladder for accessing the roof rack of a vehicle has a folding or telescopic ladder made of lightweight materials, e.g. aluminium and/or plastic, to easily stow into a vehicle. The top ends of the ladder are provided with two suction grips (6) attached to the ladder (3) via elastic dampers (5). The bottom of the ladder is secured by adjustable ground plates (7). The ladder can be secured by placing the suction grips onto the window of the vehicle.
