The lighting unit is formed with six symmetrical cone shaped reflectors [1,6] arranged in a circular form. Each reflector has a light emitting diode, LED, [7-12] having collimation optics that are arranged on a common diameter [13]. This provides for light to be deflected through 90 degrees to the axis of the LED bulbs. A number of variations are possible.
