The method involves applying a low voltage pulse train signal, having a pulse repetition frequency in the range of 5 to 35 hertz, to two or more electrodes. The application of the signal, to the electrodes is continued for about 12 minutes. The treatment is repeated at weekly intervals until cosmetically beneficial hair regrowth or mitigation of hair loss is attained. The signal's polarity is varied to utilise positive polarity for some of the weekly interval spaced repetitions and negative polarity for the remainder of the weekly intervals.
