The wall is constructed from modules, each with two parallel support walls (10,11) of different heights, connected by cross struts (14). The space (20) between the walls has a base unit (13) and is filled with bales of straw, pref. rye straw. The space is weather-proofed at the top by a roof unit (17), which slopes forward. Each module is supported by foundations (18), and there is a ventilation space between the ground and the lower face of the base unit. The space between the walls is sound-proofed by artificial bricks (19), etc.
