Straight molding strips (16) slide in slots of a spiral molding strip (12, 14), forming openings (19) when fully-inserted. The openings mold rubber bridging sections. The straight strips can be fully retracted for extraction from the molding, and are subsequently re-inserted to make the next molding. The complete molding section of the assembly, resembles a cylindrical inverted basket curved about an axis (XX'). The straight strips are held by a carrier (15) which slides along the guide (17).
