The invention concerns a method for transmitting data between a digital television transmitter broadcasting digital signals and a plurality of television receiver sets consisting in: at transmission level, encapsulating the data in packets (10) designed, at reception level, to be selected by filtering, the packets (10) each comprising a header (11) part and a useful part with, in the latter, a depth address greater than the filtering capacity of the useful part reception. The method is characterised in that only part of the address is offset into the header part (11) of the packets.
