The press consists of a base (2) and a pair of parallel rollers (5, 11) between which a sliding plate (4) is inserted horizontally. The rollers turn on fixed horizontal shafts which have holes in their ends for vertical threaded rods (14) with springs and tension adjusting nuts (15). At least one of the rollers, and preferably the lower one (5), is fitted with a toothed wheel (8) meshing with a second toothed wheel (9) on a parallel shaft, which is operated by a handle (10) or similar.
