A non optical sensor (4) which responds to temperature consists of a number of elementary cells (10). The sensor is connected to an analogue/digital convertor (5) and to a sensor control unit (6). The digital data is sent through an interface (7) to a microcomputer which is able to identify wrinkles and other defects and conditions and to make recommendation for suitable cosmetic care and treatment.
