REACTIVE POWDER CONCRETE COMPOSITION AND PREPARATION OF A PART THEREFROM

A reactive powder concrete composition comprises, in proportions relative-the amount by weight of cement: (a) cement, 1; (b) silica fume, 0.20-0.25, particularly 0.23; (c) crushed quartz, 0.35-0.40, particularly 0.39; (d) sand, 0.40-0.60, particularly 0.50; (e) total glass fibres, 0.05-0.10, particularly 0.07, of which: (i) the high density glass fibres are 0.0005-0.005, particularly 0.001; and (ii) the high performance glass fibres are 0.0495-0.0995, particularly 0.0690; (f) fluidizing agent, 0.01-0.02, particularly 0.012; and (g) total water, 0.20-0.25, particularly 0.23. Independent claims are also included for: (I) a method for the preparation of a component from concrete of this composition; and (II) an apparatus for the thermal cooking, for example by induction, incorporating a component prepared using the above method.
