The connecting system for locking an upper (6) and lower (5) sheet of cardboard together comprise a trapezium shaped cut-out in the lower sheet which remains connected by its base. This passes through an aperture in the upper sheet formed by a T-shaped cut and its sides (25, 26) are folded down so that it forms a wedge. The cuts in the upper sheet form flaps (33) which rest against the sides of the wedge and a third flap (35) rests inside the wedge. An Independent claim is included for a method for locking an upper and lower sheet of cardboard together using the connecting system.
