The block (3) has a guide system (30) cooperating with complementary parts (31) on the column body (1). The motors output shaft drives via pinions a conic pinion (23) in contact with a toothed wheel (24) carried on a face of a toothed wheel (25) linked to a rack (26) fixed to the light column.
