The reactor is shut down from its period of operation, and cooled down. In the reactor pool, one or more guide tube channels of the activated, and internal upper equipment is widened in at least one region of the continuous guide channels (16b, 16c). An Independent claim is included for equipment restoring control rod drop time, as above.
