The two simultaneous tunnel functioning method transmits digital words in packets from a high station using a first protocol, and encapsulating packets created by a second protocol. At an intermediate node a sequence of operations is carried out extracting the tunnel headers and deencapsulating the package and reassembling the original packages. Processing of the functions is carried out, and the packets refragmented and tunnels reset in place.
