In a solution for making soap bubbles that are self-luminous in the dark, comprising 67-89% water, 8-25% surfactant to form gas bubbles, 2% glycerol as humectant and antifreeze and 1-6% fluorescent brightener (I) that emits blue to violet fluorescent radiation when soap bubbles are produced in the dark and irradiation with invisible ultravoilet or infrared radiation, the novelty is that (I) is derived from diaminostilbenedisulfonic acid.
