The PCMCIA card has a micro-chip card reader (2) in a card reader case (3) forming part of the PCMCIA card. The micro-chip card (4) can be inserted perpendicular to the surface of the PCMCIA card. The reader case (3) is fitted at the rear end of the PCMCIA card housing. Several card readers may be fitted in the reader housing.
