The rolling mill comprises a frame (1) carrying a table (2) and a support (3) on each side carrying bearings for a lower cylinder (5) fixed to the table and an upper cylinder (6) which moves relative to the lower cylinder in order to adjust the laminating gap (7) between them. The mobile cylinder is carried by an arc articulated in a side support and extended by a pivoting lever (9) provided with position adjustment and locking means (10). The cylinders are rotated by a pinion (13) connected to the head of the fixed cylinder, a pinion (14) connected to the head of the mobile cylinder, a driving pinion (16) connected to a movement input and a chain (15). There is a tensioner pinion (19) carried by an arm (20) pivoting on the lever and buttressed against a fixed stop (24) in the different positions of the adjusting lever when a traction is exerted on the chain.
