Foaming composition for topical application comprises an aqueous medium, a wax and a surfactant system forming a direct hexagonal and/or cubic paracrystalline phase at 30-45 deg C. An Independent claim is also included for a cosmetic method for cleansing the skin, scalp and/or hair, comprising applying the composition in the presence of water and rinsing off the resulting foam.
