Reading (M) at least one biological reaction on a support (1), is new. M comprises first treating (1) with at least one sample containing a set of identical recognition molecules (2) so that these fix to (1), preferably in a recognition zone. The functionalized (1) is then treated with a second sample containing at least one labeled target molecule (3), so that this binds to (2), and a first image (10), of the support, is recorded. (1) is then subjected to physico-chemical conditions that cause release of (3) from (2), and a second image (11) is recorded. The two images are analyzed to determine specific binding between (2) and (3). Independent claims are also included for: (1) M in which the two samples are combined and the mixture formed applied to (1) so that (2) and (2)-(3) complexes become fixed; (2) M in which (3) is not labeled, and then bound (3) is treated with a labeled detection compound (4), with (10) and (11) recorded after attachment of (4) and after separation of (4); (3) M in which (2) and (3) are combined, and the mixture reacted with (4) before application to (1); (4) M in which (3) and (4) are combined, then treated with (2) before application to (1); (5) M in which (2) are immobilized then treated with a preformed mixture of (3) and (4); (6) hybrid or complex produced during M in which the linkage between (3) and (4) is more easily broken under selected physico-chemical conditions than those between (3) and (2) or between (2) and (1); and (7) biochip comprising many hybrids/complexes of (6), fixed to at least one surface, preferably in specific recognition regions.
