New aminoalkyl- or hydroxyalkyl-sulfinic acid derivatives, useful for partially or completely decolorizing dyed human keratin fibers, especially hair dyed with cationic direct dyes

Aminoalkyl- or hydroxyalkyl-sulfinic acid derivatives (I) are new. Sulfinic acid derivatives of formula (I) are new. XO-S(=O)-CR1R2-Y (I) X = H, monovalent metal ion or an equivalent of a divalent metal ion, the metal being of Group Ia, IIa, IIb, IVa or VIIIb; Y = OH or NR3R4; R3, R4 = H or 1-6C alkyl; or NR3R4 = heteroaliphatic ring, optionally interrupted by O, N or S; R1, R2 = 1-6C alkyl, 1-6C hydroxyalkyl, 2-6C alkenyl, 3-6C cycloalkyl or aryl (optionally substituted by 1-3 of OH, 1-6C alkyl, 1-6C alkoxy, halo or CF3); or CR1R2 = 5- or 6-membered cycloalkane ring (optionally substituted by one or more of 1-6C alkyl or 1-6C alkoxy). Independent claims are also included for: (1) cosmetic compositions (A) comprising a medium of pH 1.5-9 containing at least one compound (I); and (2) multi-component devices for dyeing human keratin fibers (specifically hair) with oxidation and/or direct dyes (II) then decolorizing the fibers, having a first compartment containing a dyeing composition based on (II) and a second compartment containing (A).
