An auxiliary gas inlet (50, 43) and a liquid outlet (37) contain a common section (51) for both the liquid and the auxiliary gas. Means (45-48) of impeding the passage of the auxiliary gas are placed in the liquid outlet downstream of the common section. A liquid receiver (16) is combined with means (28, 29, 32, 33, 34) of agitating the liquid in the receiver to extract the gaseous components, an inlet pipe (9) and an outlet pipe (37) for the liquid and an inlet pipe (50, 43) for an auxiliary gas into the receiver. An outlet pipe (11) for the auxiliary gas and the gases extracted from the liquid is also connected to a gas receiver. The common section connects to the receiver by a window with a straight bottom edge and preferably a rectangular shape. The auxiliary gas inlet opens into the liquid outlet in a part sheltered from liquid projecting from the receiver. The means of agitating comprise a rotating agitator (32) and the auxiliary gas inlet opens into the liquid outlet in a part more upstream than downstream of the direction of rotation of the agitator and at a distance from the receiver. The liquid outlet is sloped downwards relative to the receiver. The auxiliary gas inlet has a connecting section (53) to the liquid outlet pipe and an auxiliary gas arrival (54) connected to the connecting section and curved relative to it in a direction with a component parallel to the liquid outlet pipe near the connecting section. The connecting section opens into the liquid outlet pipe via a section larger than that of the arrival pipe. The auxiliary gas arrival is pointed in the same direction as the liquid outlet flows, near the connecting section. The auxiliary gas inlet forms an upper extension to a lower rectilinear section of the liquid outlet pipe, with the auxiliary gas inlet and the liquid outlet adjacent to the receiver and opening into it through a common window (40) with a liquid deflector above the window in the auxiliary gas inlet. The receiver, the auxiliary gas inlet, the liquid outlet and the liquid inlet are made of a single piece. The means of preventing the auxiliary gas from passing through the liquid outlet downstream of the common section is a siphon in the liquid outlet pipe, under the part of the pipe connected to the receiver. Below and downstream of the siphon there is a passage to the outside. The receiver has a body (17, 18) topped with a collar (25) containing the gas outlet, which opens into part of the collar in contact with the inside of the receiver at an angle to the inside of the body and is extended by a narrower section away from the body. An Independent claim is also included for a sample analysis installation containing a module as above where the liquid inlet is connected to a sample-taking module and the gas outlet is connected to a gas sample analysis module. The auxiliary gas inlet is connected to atmosphere or to a source of compressed gas. The liquid is heated between the sample-taking module and the module extracting the gas. The gas outlet is connected to the analyzer via a water trap which can be held at constant temperature.
