The wire-guided craft, designed to destroy mines on the sea bed, is fitted with balloons (1b) that raise it to the surface with its ballast weight when inflated. The balloons are situated inside a housing (1c) on the craft on either side of its hoisting loop (M) to ensure good trim as it rises, the housing being in two sections which open by pivoting about axes (1g) on an adapter (4) when the balloons are inflated.
