Measurement device (1) comprises a measurement unit (UM), which comprises means (2) for attenuating and homogenizing the laser pulse. The means comprise at least two absorbing sheets, diffusion means (5) and a photoelectric detector (6). The latter comprises a photoelectric element (7) for emission of an electric current, the value of which is proportional to the energy of a laser pulse incident on the measurement device. An analysis device (8) evaluates the measurement current to determine the pulse energy.
