The wireless communications system has a multiple connector terminal (100) linking individual modules (200) and remote assemblies (300). The terminal is connected to a number of telecommunication lines (102) forming a number of connections (104). Each module has an interface with the distribution unit and wireless transceiver. Each remote assembly has a wireless transceiver for setting up two way communication with an associated link module and interfacing with transducers (310,312,314) collecting and sending audio, video and digital signals.
