The propulsion unit, operating by centrifuging fluid with an open conical rotor, i.e. having a conical flange (1) with centrifuging straight or curved blades (2) on both sides, installed between two identical fixed cones (3) lying parallel to the flange so that the blades circulate without friction at a regular distance of a few millimetres from the fixed cones. The rotation of the blades between the fixed cones creates a pressure on the inside of the front cone and a depression on the outside of the rear one, so the two fixed cones are subjected to a substantial pressure difference between their two faces.
