The individualization device for removing flexible disc shaped blanks (2) from a vertical stack with a stack support (3) on which the lowest blank rests on its peripheral edge (5) comprises two parallel vacuum grippers (9,10). These grippers are controlled so that initially a first gripper (9) sucks eccentrically the blank to a raised position whilst the other gripper moves to the raised position and supports the blank on the opposite side. At the same time the first gripper during lowering drives the blank onto a side by tipping and then the second gripper begins its descent.
