The test gauge has a comparator (1) which is mounted on a slider (2) able to move along a ruler (3). The ruler has a feeler (8) on a fixed transverse rod (7) and an adjustable stop (4) with fixing screw (11). The slider carries a feeler (9) on a rod (5) which is pivoted (6) and has the inner end (12) in contact with the comparator. The instrument is calibrated with a micrometer and will then show positive and negative differences.
