The vibration attenuation device consists of a helicoidal spring seat (1) having a conical tubular part (11) and an annular support (12) extending radially inwards. A rubber stop (2) in the shape of a thick tube has several protuberances (23,24,25) defined by several flutings (21,22) in the shape of a ring. An end face of the first protuberance (23) is in contact with the seat support. The first protuberance has the smallest exterior diameter and the exterior diameter of the other protuberances increases as a function of the distance relative to the first protuberance. The exterior surfaces of the first and second protuberances are compressed and housed in the tubular part at the start of axial vibrations.
