The plastic molding press, consisting of a frame (1) with U-shaped effort recovery members (6), two fixed plates (2, 4) and a mobile mold carrier plate (3), has each branch of the U-shaped members made with an upper thrust zone (24) above the main axis (X-X') of the press. There are lower thrust zones (19) below the main axis. Each of the thrust zones is elastically deformable parallel to the axis and is applied against a thrust region of one of the fixed plates (2, 4). The three plates (2, 3, 4) and a moving and locking member (5) for the mobile plate are supported by the frame (1), while the effort recovery members are suspended from the fixed plates by their upper and/or lower thrust zones.
