The distal chamber intraocular lens intended to be housed between the rear of the iris (13) and the front face of the natural lens (10) comprises an optical part (11) at the center and a haptic part constituted of several peripheral separated haptic elements (12). There is an added thickness at the level of the haptic elements relative to the edge of the optical part which is sufficient to prevent any sealed contact of the optical edge (110) with the natural lens and the iris and which retains a possibility of circulation of the aqueous humor.
