Plasma panel is equipped with networks (Y, Y') of image maintaining electrodes. Power and control means comprise: one or more transformers (T1) with a primary (P1) and multiple secondary circuits (S11-S1L) which serve to power the panel electrodes without an intermediary switch; a maintaining pulse generator; and means for connecting the generator to the transformer primary such that the transformer inductances co-operate to recover and re-inject the capacitive energy between the maintaining electrodes. The invention also relates to a corresponding visualization system with a plasma panel.
