The letter box can be assembled into a multiple modular assembly with similar boxes. The letter box has two separate chambers (11,12) with a partition (10). One chamber (11) receives articles only distributed by authorized operatives and the other receives other articles (12). The first chamber can be fully opened and closed and automatically opens for loading and unloading when operated by an individual key.
