The floodlight has a light source and a reflector, and a lens unit that adjusts color, shape and spread of the light beam. The lens unit (1) has a variable focus lens assembly (15,16) and screens (31-33) and filters to control shape and color of the light beam. The lens unit is hermetically isolated from the lamp unit, and attached to the lamp unit by a mounting ring (34).
