Treatment of organic waste from abattoirs comprises heat treatment and action of microwaves to produce distilled water, combustible gas and vitrified residue for safe disposal

Abattoir waste is subjected to elaborate dehydration in a heat treatment operation carried out in a bath of molten fat with the release of water and a combustible gas. The waste is also subjected to the action of specific and dynamic microwaves for a second and stronger heat treatment to reduce the waste even further. The residual waste is then vitrified for disposal. The process produces distilled water, a combustible gas and a non-polluting vitrified waste for disposal.
