A method of indicating a change in service information in a High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) service

When a Radio Network Controller (RNC) generates or changes HSDPA service related information, it transmits the generated or changed information to a Node B and a UE along with an indicator indicating the change in HSDPA service information. The change information may include activation time information, that is the time at which to apply the notified changes. Therefore the Node B and UE may simultaneously operate by receiving the generated or changed information, resulting in an increase in the HSDPA service efficiency. The service information may include modulation and coding information, signal power information, Hybrid Automatic Retransmission Request (HARQ) information, and Fast Cell Select (FCS) information.
