Crocacin analogue fungicides

Novel crocacin analogues are disclosed having plant fungicidal activity and having the general formula (I): EMI ID=2.1 HE=45 WI=104 LX=356 LY=809 TI=CF PCwherein R 1 has a range of defined values; R 2 is C 1-3 alkyl; R 3 is H or methyl; and X is CH or N. Also disclosed are processes for preparing the analogues, intermediate compounds useful for their preparation, fungicidal compositions containing them and methods of using them to combat fungal infections in plants.
