PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide stencil printing equipment and a plate making method, which are excellent in energy saving.;SOLUTION: In this stencil printing equipment, mimeograph paper is perforated by a thermal head so that plate making can be done, and printing is done by pressing printing paper against a plate cylinder to which the mimeograph paper subjected to the plate making is attached. The stencil printing equipment is equipped with a setting means for setting energy-saving printing and the degree of the energy saving, an energy-saving plate-making means for performing the energy-saving plate making for the set energy-saving printing, and a printing pressure adjusting part for controlling a pressing force to a set pressing force. When the energy-saving printing and the degree of the energy saving are set by the setting means, a plate-making part performs the energy-saving plate making, corresponding to the set energy-saving printing, by the energy-saving plate-making means, and a printing part does the printing by controlling the pressing force by the printing pressure adjusting part.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
