CHOPPING BOARD STERILIZING APPARATUS USING HIGH VOLTAGE DISCHARGE AND STERILIZING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily sterilize a chopping board and an object near the chopping board in a simple apparatus.;SOLUTION: This chopping board sterilizing apparatus is so formed that, when a sterilizing cover 30 is mounted on the surface of the chopping board which incorporates an electrode 21 impressed with the high-frequency high voltage, a corona discharge is generated between respective electrodes 32 on the surface of an electric heater 33 inside the sterilizing cover 30 and the surface of the chopping board 10 to destruct the fungus stuck to the surface on the chopping board 10 by the plasma generated thereby. Moreover, a chemical solution supply device 36 sprays chemical solution from an opening of a spray nozzle 35, the fungus destructed by the plasma on the surface is sterilized and deprived of the regenerating capacity and simultaneously the plasma dissolves the sprayed chemical solution. Radiation heating from the electric heater 33 raises the surface temperature of the chopping board 10 to produce sterilizing effects to the stuck fungus and enhances the discharge effects by being high temperature.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
