METHOD FOR DETECTING ABNORMALITY OF SLIDE VALVE AND ABNORMALITY DETECTING DEVICE THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for appropriately grasping an exchange period of a plate for stabilized operation by reliably and simply detecting a normal or abnormal condition of a slide valve at the time of maintaining a ladle or a tundish, and to provide a device therefor.;SOLUTION: The abnormality detecting device comprises a hydraulic unit 10 which drives a hydraulic cylinder 9, a pressure transmitter 12, a data collecting and processing device 13, an alarm 14, and a display device 15. The pressure transmitter 12 is fixed to a supply piping 11 for supplying a hydraulic fluid to the hydraulic cylinder 9 connected with a slide plate 1a of the slide valve 1 from the hydraulic unit 10. The sliding pressure P_A of a detected slide plate 1a is captured by the data collecting and processing device 13 and compared with a predetermined sliding pressure. When the detected sliding pressure P_A goes beyond the predetermined sliding pressure, abnormality is detected and outputted to the alarm 14.
