PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clarify an applicable range of household electric appliances in their use environments and to enable to appropriately evaluate corrosion-resistance of a steel plate used for the household electric appliances for a short test period.;SOLUTION: The method is provided with a process (A) in which saline matters that include chloride ions are attached to a surface of an object to be tested, and a process (B) in which a cycle made up of a drying step and a wetting step is repeated one or more times where the object to be tested is set in such a state that a value of temperature and a value of relative humidity are varied step by step. In the method, the process (A) and the process (B) are alternately repeated one or more times in order to evaluate the corrosion-resistance. Respective conditions are set as the followings: the volume of the saline matters including chloride ions and being attached to a surface of an object to be tested in the process (A) is in a range of 0.1-10,000mg/m2 ; the period of the process (A) is not more than 10 minutes; the dew point variation of the drying and wetting steps in the process (B) is not more than ±5°C; the period of the drying step ≥ the period of the wetting step; the temperature, the relative humidity and the holding period are 40-60°C, not more than 40% and 2-12 hours in the drying step and 20-60°C, 80-96% and 2-12 hours in the wetting step.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
