HOT BLAST DIVIDER AND SNOW-MELTING APPARATUS USING THE SAME FOR MELTING SNOW ACCUMULATED IN SWITCH OF RAILS

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snow-melting apparatus using a hot blast divider for melting snow accumulated in a switch of rails capable of carrying out maintenance work of ballast in the state of being disposed between ballast tracks. PSOLUTION: A hot blast generator H is installed out of rails R of a ballast track, a supply duct D is provided from the hot blast generator H to the central position between the rails R, and the hot blast divider 2 is provided between the rails R. As the hot blast divider 2, a connecting section 6 provided to the central part between the rails R and connected to the supply duct D, a first coupling section 7 connected in the direction along the rails R to the connecting section 6 at the central part between the rails R, a plurality of discharge sections 8 provided on a sleeper B and discharging hot blast supplied through the connecting section 6 and the first coupling section 7 by connecting to the connecting section 6 through the first coupling section 7 and a second coupling section 9 connecting these discharge sections 8 to each other are provided. In the connecting section 6, the first coupling section 7 and the second coupling section 9, dimensions in the direction of the width of the track are at the maximum less than dimensions within an extent which compacting work of the ballast between the rails R can't be usually carried out.
