PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To offer trial service of a recording medium article (such as a CD and a videotape) for music and video image, etc.;SOLUTION: A part of recording information about each of a plurality of articles is extracted, recorded by integrating it into one medium, a recording medium to which retrieval information for associating its recording position with identification codes intrinsic to the articles is added is created and defined as a trial database about the recording medium articles for the music and the video image, etc. A trial service device is constituted of an identification code input means, a recording medium play-back means, an output means for transforming the recording information into voice and video image, etc. and a control means for performing retrieval and control. A part of the articles can be tried (such as listened, viewed) with a simple operation only of inputting identification information (such as bar code) from the package of the recording medium article for the music and the video image, etc.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
